Chase began his career in education teaching English as a second language in Santiago, Chile through the United States Development Programme. Upon returning to New York, Chase worked for two years at an affordable housing nonprofit before ultimately deciding to follow in his mother’s footsteps and become a high school Spanish teacher.
Soon after, Chase was accepted into the NYC Teaching Fellow program and began working at Brooklyn Latin School, a specialized high school in New York City. For five years, Chase taught all levels of IB Spanish and coached the varsity soccer team, leading them to four consecutive league championships.
Chase holds BAs in Spanish and International Relations from SUNY Geneseo and an MEd from the City College of New York. In his free time, he enjoys running, traveling, meditating, watching soccer, and hanging out with his cat.
