Jodi Marshall

Jodi Marshall

Jodi Marshall has been a Special Education Teacher for over 7 years. Her experience is focused on elementary education, where her mission is to integrate social-emotional concepts into academic learning to create powerful and confident learners. Prior to embarking on a teaching career, Jodi’s curiosity propelled various careers in the science world. She was a forensic scientist conducting physical and chemical analyses, a biologist working in DNA identification, a medical scientist performing cancer diagnostic testing, and she explored scientific research supporting biomechanical gait function with patients identified as having Multiple Sclerosis.

Jodi fosters a love for learning and cultivates a growth mindset. She channels her empathy to build meaningful and lasting relationships. Jodi advocates for promoting social-emotional principles interwoven with core academic instruction to embrace diverse perspectives, thereby creating powerful and purposeful conversations in the classroom. Her passion for supporting the whole child aligns with Wayfinder’s core philosophy. Jodi has earned a B.S. in Biology Pre-Med and a B.S. in Forensic Science with a minor in Criminal Justice, all from the University of New Haven. Jodi has also earned an M.A. in Special Education from George Mason University. She enjoys listening to audiobooks, crocheting, hiking with her family, and exploring new adventures.
