Kathleen is a former classroom teacher passionate about supporting students, educators, and communities.
After starting her career as a kindergarten teacher at an international school in downtown NYC, Kathleen relocated to Austin, Texas, where she continued her journey as an early childhood educator. Over her ten years in the classroom, Kathleen discovered a passion for social-emotional teaching and learning. She observed her students become energized and enthusiastic about learning when they had developed a strong sense of self and purpose.
As a lifelong learner, Kathleen holds a dual bachelor’s degree in early childhood and special education from the University of Delaware and a master's degree in literacy from NYU. Outside of work, Kathleen is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
