Lauren is passionate about supporting educators as they provide meaningful and equitable access to resources and direct instruction that help students move through their lives with belonging, meaning, and purpose.
Before joining Wayfinder, Lauren worked with the largest districts in the country to refine and overhaul equitable MTSS practices and create streamlined systems for data-based decision making. Prior to her time in edtech, she served as a K-12 educator/practitioner. Additionally, for the past eight years, she has served as a lecturer at three local universities in the Twin Cities area, including her graduate school alma mater, The University of Minnesota, and is currently a part-time lecturer at Saint Thomas University.
Throughout her career, Lauren has advised and supervised more than 200 new teacher candidates and provided numerous on-site trainings for educators in K-12 and higher education. Lauren also has extensive experience as a public speaker for numerous conferences and planned speaking engagements. She has served on several committees focused on reducing barriers to higher education and equitable access to educational pathways.
Lauren holds an undergraduate degree from Northwestern and graduate degrees from Bethel University and the University of Minnesota and is pursuing an MBA at the Opus College of Business at the University of Saint Thomas. She spends her free time with her children, traveling, in meditation and reflection, practicing yoga, walking, trying new foods, and gardening.
