Riley Broderick

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Riley is dedicated to human development, social-emotional learning, and equitable practices with a focus on supporting youth, families, and educators in building resilient, thriving communities. Passionate about equitable access to resources, trauma-informed care, and advocacy, Riley brings experience collaborating with diverse populations in rural and underserved areas.

Riley’s professional journey in human services began with earning a BS in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University. Early in his career, he served as a Rural Prevention Specialist at KIDS Center, where he delivered child abuse prevention education, developed curriculum, and provided outreach education to rural communities. He then transitioned into roles as a Family Advocate and child-friendly Forensic Interviewer. Throughout his time at KIDS Center, Riley supported children and families affected by trauma, facilitating safe spaces and providing critical resources and a path to healing. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, he championed cultural awareness and equity. As a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Facilitator, he also designed and led learning initiatives to promote inclusivity, further showcasing his leadership and commitment to systemic change.

Outside of work, Riley stays actively engaged in his community, volunteering for the Companion Animal Medical Project supporting unhoused individuals and their animals. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, bike packing, multi-day white water rafting trips, hiking, traveling, and spending time with his friends in Bend, Oregon

"My purpose is to create spaces where individuals feel supported, valued, and equipped to overcome challenges and excel in their lives; it is to build stronger, more inclusive communities that inspire growth and well-being by fostering resilience and connection."
