Summer is a former classroom educator dedicated to fostering whole-child development and contributing to students’ lifelong success.
During her eight years as a 2nd and 4th grade teacher, Summer recognized the crucial need for quality social-emotional learning in classrooms. Taking what she learned from the classroom, she transitioned to edtech to advocate for equity and inclusion and help ensure students had access to quality learning experiences through which they could build lifelong skills.
Summer holds a dual degree in elementary and special education from UNC Charlotte. Outside of work, she enjoys hot yoga, spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs, and attending concerts.
